Head Of Dismembered 'Cadaver Doll' Dad Found In PA Freezer

What was first reported as a suspicious death, has been revealed to be a disturbing murder.

Donald Lawrence Meshey Jr., 32, of Lancaster was arrested on Wednesday after admitting to police that he stabbed and Dismembered his father, according to Lancaster city police.

Police were called to a welfare check at 202 West Strawberry Street on Wednesday at 8:51 a.m.

The woman that made the call said she was "concerned for the welfare of family members at the residence, after one of the residents, Donald Meshey Jr., told her that there was a cadaver in one of the beds in the home and there was a head in the freezer," police said in a statement.

When police arrived and located the woman she told them, "she observed what she believed to be the head of one of her family members, in the freezer," police said.

At that point Donald L. Meshey Jr. Meshey escorted a police officer inside the home and took the officer to the kitchen, where he proceeded to remove what appeared to be a human head from the freezer to show the officer.  

The Lancaster County Coroner's Office later confirmed that the head from the freezer was a human head.   

The officer immediately called for back-up and secured the scene.    

Donald Meshey Jr. was taking in for an interview and told police he found what he described as a "cadaver doll" in his father's bedroom, which looked and sounded like his father. 

Meshey admitted to stabbing the "cadaver doll" for two to three minutes with a knife and then dismembered the body.   

The scene is still active, as investigators process the crime scene and collect evidence.   

Investigators are working to confirm the identity of the deceased victim. 

The scene remained active well into Thursday morning.

Meshey Jr. was arrested and charged with a felony for criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. 

He is currently being held in the Lancaster County Prison without bail per state law on homicides, and his preliminary hearing date is pending.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
